We love coming to Mago every time we’re in Illinois. Their table side guacamole is the best! I like how you can order it exactly how you like it because I love it extra spicy! The kids meal options are great and come on the cutest divider plates.
We love Mago! It’s a perfect halfway point between Chicago and the south suburbs and is perfect for a family dinner. The food is delicious, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable (shout out to Jose!), and the specials are awesome. Definitely recommend!
I recently celebrated my birthday here and it was the best experience ever! Our server was amazing and the food was soooo delicious!! I had an amazing time!!! Thank you to the staff and everyone that came out to sing me Happy Birthday
Mago Grill & Cantina was a fantastic spot for a night out with my two friends. The food was delicious, especially the enchiladas and table-side guacamole, paired with their signature margaritas. The vibrant, festive atmosphere and friendly service made it even better. Plus, the variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone. A minor downside? It got a bit noisy during peak hours, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the great food and drinks. A perfect place for good times and bold flavors!
This place is so good! They start with chips and a salsa flight. All of them were very good and had some heat. They offer fresh made Guacamole that range from mild to spicy. We got the spicy and it was definitely the best Guacamole I've ever had. I ordered the beef tenderloin special that came with Cojita Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. All were excellent and the tenderloin was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be going back there.
My wife and I tried MAGO and loved the food! I highly recommend the Papas Con Poblano and table made Guacamole that were both delicious! The carne asada enchiladas were very good and they have an adorable miniature churros cart for desert. The wall of lucha libre masks help set a fun atmosphere and the food keeps you enjoying the experience. A little on the expensive side for traditional Mexican fare, but definitely delicious, quality food. We would absolutely go back again.
Quintin was my server and very personable and helpful I got the carne asada taco, mango and angel margarita. Everything was lovely.. like best steak taco I have had a minute!!! So glad I stumbled across this spot on my way to the city
Oh snap! I found a top five of all time Mexican restaurant. We stopped in for the first time and were met by very friendly staff, fresh guacamole prep table side and unbelievable food. I had brisket with plantains...what an awesome dish. I wish we lived closer. This place is great.
